Domestic Adoption
Work with biological parent(s) to establish a plan for adoption and support through the journey. Also work with adoptive parents to provide adoption education, home studies, and post placement support.
Adoption through Foster Care
Work with families who desire to add to their family through the child welfare dependency system. These are children with histories of abuse and neglect who have been removed from their biological families.
Family Coaching
Work with families who are struggling with effectively parenting their child(ren). With a personalized assessment and plan, your family coach will assist you in identifying barriers to successful parenting and implementation of strategies that facilitate connections and mending relationships.
Foster Care
Finally Home actively seeks to partner with families that desire to respond with action to the foster care crises in their city by opening their home to children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, or neglect.
Training
Pre-Adoption training for adoptive families, Specialized trainings for adoptive/foster families, Parenting skills training, and Adoption Competency for professionals are all offered by Loryn E. Smith, M.S.W.
